New Car Test Drive
www.newcartestdrive.com
When you're researching a particular car, you'll find more information, evaluation and informed opinion in an NCTD article than in all that vehicle's new car profiles on the Web, combined. Each NCTD review is several pages long and presented in the same format (Overview, Walkaround, Driving Impressions and Summary, Prices, Specs), so comparable data and the tester's opinions in specific areas are easy to locate. On the 2004 Mini Cooper, which the reviewer test drove on nearly 300 miles of narrow, winding Irish roads, thoughtful details include: "The low roofline means you have to stoop to see traffic lights overhead." Also offers vehicle comparisons (up to three), a test-drive checklist and price quotes through Dealix and GM BuyPower.
BEST: Some 1,500 reviews available online. And the site archives its prior-year reviews, particularly useful for evaluating late model used cars.
WORST: Not all models are covered. (What, no Ferrari Maranello?)
